Farmers’ Market

When and Where is it you ask?

If you read this blog in time, you might be able to make it to the last day of the Farmers’ Market of the year. The Downtown San Jose Farmers’ Market was going on every Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The season started on May 2nd and ends tomorrow, November 21st. On past Fridays, you’ve probably noticed San Pedro blocked off between E. Santa Clara St. and W. St. James Street. The Farmers’ Market takes place on this little strip, and you’ll see many people walking up and down the block checking out the art work, the produce, different types of food, jewelry…etc. To be quite honest, I’m mostly intrigued by what kind of food booths there are. It’s also a nice place to support the locals, connect with the people that are there, and walk off whatever you had for lunch.

The great thing about the Farmers’ Market is the location because it’s of course on the same street as the San Pedro Square Market, but there are also other restaurants, bars, and a large parking garage. It’s a great event to have throughout the majority of the year and it adds a little more character to the downtown area.

What booths and tents have you enjoyed stopping by at the Farmers’ Market? We’d love to hear what you think about the market and what you’ll miss most. Also, feel free to let us know if you have any exciting trips planned for the upcoming holiday season. The end of the year is coming up quick!

Downtown S.J. Is Growing!

What’s Going On Where?

You’ve probably noticed those giant cranes and loud noises coming from different construction sites downtown. If you aren’t incredibly in tune with what’s going on downtown, have no fear. We’ve got maps to show you what the current development projects are and where they’re taking place. It’s exciting for us to see first-hand how much Downtown San Jose has changed over the years. There’s a demand for places to live in our fine area and developers have been listening to this demand. Part of why there’s new construction is that overall, the real estate market has been improving since 2012. It’s a trend that hardly ever changes, but sometimes we forget to acknowledge it. Think of it this way: Good Real Estate Market = New Construction and Bad Real Estate Market = Little to No New Construction. Makes sense right?

Ryland Mews Unit Live On the Market!

Ryland Mews Condo

410 N. 1st St. #234

We are happy to announce that we have a 1 Bedroom/ 1 Full Bath unit on the market in the Ryland Mews condo building. Among other condo complexes in downtown San Jose, Ryland Mews has proved to be a desirable place to live. We’ve connected with many people including those who are renting in the building that would love to own in Ryland Mews. The great thing about this complex, aside from its ammenities, is that it’s located outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown core. At the same time, you’re within walking distance of restaurants, shops, San Pedro Square Market, and much more. Do you know a buyer this condo would be a good fit for? Is it you?

Ryland Loft Sold!

400 N. 1st Street #311 Listed For 395k and Closed At 405K

The Ryland Lofts are one of the most unique units in all of Downtown San Jose. Located within the Ryland Mews condo complex, 400 N. 1st #311 closed successfully with one very happy buyer. We received a couple of offers within the first couple weeks of being on the market. This is about the average in all of Santa Clara County for a home to go into contract once going live on the market, and of course, pricing your home correctly is crucial. The owners had kept their loft in impeccable shape which drew a fair amount of people to schedule private showings. We closed at a final price of $405,000, which makes it the highest sale of this type of unit in the building since 2008. If you want a free home valuation, please don’t hesitate to call 408-657-9837 or email us at Hope you’re having a great start to your summer!

The Home Run Program

Unique Program for First-Time Homebuyers

As the real estate market continues to stay hot, lenders are creating programs to help more buyers have the ability to qualify for home loans. After the peak in 2006, the downturn caused the majority of banks to become a lot more conservative in lending. The market started to improve in this area during the early springtime in 2012. Ever since that time, Read the rest of this entry »
