Christmas In The Park

And The Holiday Season Continues…

christmas in the park

Now that Turkey Day is over, more homes are putting up their lights as well as their Christmas trees. Coffee shops now have holiday gifts on the shelves, and everyone seems to be getting more into the spirit.

My favorite part about this time of year is definitely the increase in the amount of get-togethers with my friends and family. I make it a point to suggest that we go to Christmas In The Park in downtown San Jose. The atmosphere is just incredible at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in December when this event is going on. Aside from the Sharks games, Christmas In The Park is just another thing that goes on in the year where the unity of Downtown San Jose is visible to everyone.

There’s actually an article in the Mercury that you can find here explaining how Christmas In The Park was saved this year.

If you’ve never been before, it’s a great place to take your kids, your significant other, or anyone for that matter. There’s food, hot drinks, rides, ice skating, Christmas trees that are wildly decorated, and much more. All in all it’s a good time, and a great way to kick off December. The park’s opening night was on Friday, November 25.
