The Top 18 Things About Living In Silicon Valley
Let’s face it. Living in Silicon Valley is unlike living anywhere else. There are numerous reasons as to why living here is undeniably attractive. With San Jose being the 10th largest city in terms of population in the United States, you start to wonder what it is that brings a huge influx of people to this area. The following is a list of what I think are the top 18 things about living in Silicon Valley in no particular order.
1. It’s culturally diverse!
2. Approximately a 40 min drive to the ocean and relatively close to the snow. (Tahoe/Sierras)

3. 10 minutes from Mineta International Airport (and less than an hour to 2 more)
4. Top universities are here (Stanford, Santa Clara, SJSU, UCSC, UC Berkeley)
5. We have the famous California weather
6. Good economy
7. High salaries compared with the rest of the U.S.

8. Cultural diversity has created a diversity of authentic restaurants
9. Coastal range of the beautiful Redwoods are minutes away
10. A lot of great parks (Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos is Glorious)
11. Tech-hub of the world!!

12. Home to Fry’s Electronics meaning multiple locations
13. Great hospitals are close by (i.e. Good Samaritan and Stanford)
14. Highly educated population
15. Friendly neighborhoods everywhere
16. If not in Silicon Valley, professional sports teams are all around us: Sharks, 49ers, A’s, Raiders, Giants, Warriors & SJ Giants

17. Fun nightlife in areas such as Downtown San Jose, Downtown Campbell, Downtown Los Gatos and other areas
