8 Must Do’s in Downtown San Jose

Are you new to living downtown? Having a hard time trying to figure out where to go or what to do? Here are 8 things you must do in downtown San Jose. Who knows, maybe you have lived here for a few years and haven’t done any of these things because reality t.v. has taken over your life.

1)  Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum

When was the last time you saw a Mummy? This museum is located at 1660 Park Avenue San Jose, CA 95191.

2)  Ballet San Jose

If you are feeling sophisticated or just want to win extra points with your significant other, go see Swan Lake.

3)  HP Pavilion

The San Jose Sharks are an exciting team to watch so have a cocktail at your local bar and walk on down to the Shark Tank.

4)  Christmas In The Park

Takes Place at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park every year. This will go on from November 25-January1. There’s ice skating, music, food, and uniquely decorated trees by numerous schools. What more can you ask for during the holidays?

5)  La Victoria Taqueria

There are now two locations downtown! Come here for a tasty burrito and don’t forget to put on their widely-known orange sauce.

6)  Music In The Park

This annual event also takes place at Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park. Usually it happens once a week from June to August. Both famous bands and cover bands perform and the concerts are free!

7)  Tech Museum

Now this is a place to check out if you are into science and technology. Definitely a perfect place to bring your kids for the day.

8)  San Pedro Square

You will find a good amount of people here on a Saturday night because of the bars and restaurants. O’Flaherty’s is an Irish Pub located here that has a great, laid-back atmosphere. It draws people in especially on nights that the Sharks are playing on t.v.

So these are just a few must do’s while in downtown San Jose. I understand there’s a lot more to do and places to go in this area that maybe I have not heard about. Care to share? Leave a comment down below!
